About the Role:

An opening exists for a Helpdesk Officer in our Northern Operations Head Office. Reporting to the IT Service Improvement Manager, t his position is responsible for working within the Help Desk team to assist end users through troubleshooting issues and completing service requests throughout JBS Australia Pty Limited including all subsidiaries.

Responsibilities:

  • Logging of all IT Incidents and service requests
  • Acting as a first point of contact for internal customer IT support
  • Monitoring support requests ensuring SLAs are being met
  • A focus on resolution of tickets at first point of contact
  • Communication to the business for IT services & systems outages
  • Escalating issues to appropriate level 2 / level 3 IT team members
  • Participation in after-hours on-call roster for critical incidents and issues
  • Troubleshooting of in-house and 3rd party systems
  • Any other tasks as reasonably assigned by Manager

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Working within an ITIL based framework
  • Customer service focus with a passion for helping people
  • Ability to follow service requests through from commencement to resolution in a timely and professional manner
  • Proven experience achieving outcomes with available resources and within set time frames
  • Experience supporting desktops, laptops, smart devices and printers
  • Must be available for afterhours support and some travel
